Biography
Anna Maria Muccilli is the founder of A.M. Public Relations, a highly regarded marketing communications consultancy that provides services to a variety of clients. Thoughtful, friendly and calm, Anna Maria is a PR veteran known for her quiet confidence and honest, intelligent and passionate approach to succeed on behalf of her clients.
Her clients have included Warner Independent Pictures, Paramount Classics, MGM/UA, Entertainment One, filmmakers, comedians, authors, lifestyle brands such as globally renowned British artist and colour expert, Annie Sloan, not-for-profits such as the Nanny Angel Network and the Documentary Organization of Canada, TED speakers, and cultural and trade organizations.
Before founding AMPR in 1999, Anna Maria was VP of Publicity and Promotion at Canadian film and TV powerhouse, Alliance Releasing and Alliance Communications. She worked on hundreds of national publicity and promotional campaigns for films opening in theatres. She also oversaw corporate communications and directed publicity for the company’s film and TV productions.
She has promoted well over 500 filmed entertainment projects of all genres and budget ranges during her distinguished career. Campaign highlights have included
Pulp Fiction, Trainspotting, The English Patient, The Passion of the Christ, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, An Inconvenient Truth, There Will Be Blood and
Before Sunset, among many others, as well as Canadian hits such as

Prior to joining Alliance, Anna Maria cut her teeth in PR at Toronto’s Harbourfront Corporation working on performing arts festivals and the renowned International Festival of Authors. Highlights included working with literary legends Salman Rushdie, Saul Bellow, Edward Albee, Patricia Highsmith and Margaret Atwood.
Before pursuing a career in PR, Anna Maria was a Community Legal Worker at Bloor Information and Legal Services where she provided summary legal advice in English, French, Italian and Spanish to low-income residents in Toronto's west end.
